About Me

After completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, I moved to Denver to become an early childhood teacher. After observing children in the classroom who struggled with social-emotional regulation and other developmental issues, I decided to return to graduate school for School Psychology; I completed by master’s degree at the University of Denver. During graduate school, I realized the vastness of the social and systemic issues that are embedded into the United States’ foundation and culture. I felt more drawn to Social Work and will be continuing my education in the fall of 2023. I hope to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and help others in their healing journeys, while also exploring and helping to dismantle damaging societal structures at play. I am most interested in the interplay of adverse childhood experiences, adult attachment, addiction, and toxic shame.

Outside of the mental health field

I grew up in the mountains of Colorado where I discovered the healing nature of the outdoors. I enjoy skiing, camping, live music, and playing with my dogs, Bexley and Maggie, and my cat, “Scary” Jerry. I also love a good self-help book and have the biggest sweet tooth you could imagine.
